The Coffee Bunker is a place to find connection with other veterans, and with the local community. We work with veterans to develop personally and professionally in order to successfully navigate the transition to civilian life
The Optimist Creed
- To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
- To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
- To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
- To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
- To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
- To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
- To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
- To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
It's easy to see the glass half empty. In fact, in today's world, you must make a conscious effort to think positively. Some may say there is "power in positive thinking", while others may disagree. However, where negativity builds walls, closes doors and burns bridges. Positivity enables a synergy that tears down walls, opens doors and builds bridges. As The Glenpool Optimist Club it is our goal to empower our youth to think positively. To encourage the next generation to make a difference, in themselves and their community. To ignite a hope that if we so choose tomorrow will be better than today. We will strive to make a difference in our community through donations, fundraiser's and teamwork.
We choose to see the glass half full.

Apparatus inventory includes two pumpers, one rescue pumper, one aerial platform truck and two wild land fire vehicles. A wide array of mission-specific equipment is carried on each of these vehicles.
The main station is located at 14536 South Elwood Avenue in the Public Safety Building. This facility features five bays and a multi-story training tower.
The Glenpool Fire Department improved their community’s Public Protection Class by nearly 30% and received an impressive Insurance Services Office (ISO) re-classification of 2 in 2017. We take great pride in offering innovative programs that reach beyond our physical borders. Mercy Mission originally began in the early 1980’s as the brain child of Bob Thomas who was pastor of Grace Church (now Extreme Worship). The intention has always been to serve those less fortunate in Glenpool with food and other assistance. In 2014, Mercy Mission II was born from those efforts. Today, MMII is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with board members from 5 area churches. Mercy Mission II remains true to the original dream, with the intent of expanding services to help those in the South County area.
