BlackGold Christmas is THE event of the holiday season!

It begins with the decorating of sponsored Christmas trees, a parade, caroling, photos with Santa, food vendors, horses, and carriages, and the lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree. Businesses, clubs, and nonprofits may sponsor a tree for $200 and decorate it to promote themselves or the season.

The Chamber will supply tree stands, water for the trees, and promotional signage; the City of Glenpool will supply electricity. The event is located in BlackGold Park, 95 W. 145th St. and Highway 75.

December 7th, 2025

Time:

Parade begins on 141st Street at 4:00 p.m., followed by park festivities at 4:30, and the lighting of the trees at 6:30.

About the Trees

Tree sponsorships are being accepted for the sixth annual BlackGold Christmas event in Glenpool’s BlackGold Park.
Sponsoring a tree is a great way to market your business, club, organization or non-profit while brightening the holidays for the entire community as well as the 47,000 vehicles that travel through Glenpool each day.
Whether your tree is a work of art or intended to promote, this is your opportunity to help create a vibrant and exciting holiday experience for Glenpool.

Trees are two sizes: 7’ and 9’
Sponsor provides all LED lights and decorations
Chamber provides trees, signage, stands, electricity
Check the chamber’s website for purchase packages
24-hour security is unavailable
Deadline to reserve your tree: Noon, Nov. 19

Want to support the initiative, but don’t have time to decorate? Pay an extra $50 to have your tree decorated with your decorations for you.

Decorating Instructions

Let's Decorate!

You may decorate your tree from Dec. 3-7th.
LED lights only, you will need one 50', # 12 gauge, heavy- duty outdoor extension cord; ladder suggested.
Check your tree periodically for fallen ornaments or light outages; no 24/7 security.
Your tree must be fully decorated by 4 p.m. Dec. 7th.
Unplug your tree after you finish decorating
If you prefer someone else to decorate your tree for you, contact the Chamber to make arrangements. There will be a $50 charge, but you will need to supply the ornaments and lights.
The tree-lighting ceremony will be on Dec. 7th.
Trees will remain lit through the New Year. You may undecorated your tree after Christmas.
