Kelly has over 25 years of experience in business, insurance, leadership, media relations, government affairs, and community engagement. His experience includes work in diverse environments: large corporation, small business, state government, municipal government, political campaigns, chambers of commerce, and nonprofit organizations. Kelly has a successful track record as a leader in crisis communication situations, public policy issues, catastrophe response, and proactive media campaigns.
As a leader, Kelly has a passion for coaching, developing people, problem solving, reputation management and serving customers. He emphasizes positive messaging, an engaging entrepreneurial spirit, coalition building, and continuous learning. Kelly has led professional teams responsible for media, government, and philanthropic relations in multiple states from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes and Canada.
He began his insurance career in auto claims. Working in three different locations in six years, Kelly honed his customer-service skills and business acumen to handle claims and help policyholders recover from losses as quickly as possible. He became resource for other team member on many issues such as: policy questions, negligence & liability investigations, subrogation, and attorney negotiations.
Community engagement is important to Kelly. His board service includes; Knights of Columbus, Tulsa County Board of Adjustment, Jenks City Council, Mayor of Jenks, Chambers of Commerce, Junior Achievement, Safe Kids and Rebuilding Together Tulsa. Kelly enjoys out-door ranch work, reading, physical fitness, traveling adventures, pheasant hunting and dog training.

Dedicated to Safety
The Glenpool Fire Department serves a primary response district consisting of 45 square miles in and around the City of Glenpool. We provide protection for approximately 14,000 permanent residents and an estimated 40,000 visitors that travel through our city daily via U.S. 75.
Staff & Equipment
Staffing for the agency is comprised of 24 paid and up to 20 volunteer firefighters. The department provides fire prevention, fire suppression, hazardous materials response, and technical rescue activities for the citizens of Glenpool and the surrounding area.
Apparatus inventory includes two pumpers, one rescue pumper, one aerial platform truck and two wild land fire vehicles. A wide array of mission-specific equipment is carried on each of these vehicles.
Improved Protection
The main station is located at 14536 South Elwood Avenue in the Public Safety Building. This facility features five bays and a multi-story training tower.
The Glenpool Fire Department improved their community’s Public Protection Class by nearly 30% and received an impressive Insurance Services Office (ISO) re-classification of 2 in 2017. We take great pride in offering innovative programs that reach beyond our physical borders. Several of our members are recognized throughout the state of Oklahoma as instructors within their respective disciplines.
